Conway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Conway SC announced that seven of its Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles are named Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Picks for 2011.
"It's not easy to earn the Top Safety Pick rating, " said Bill Klouser, General Manager. "So, IIHS's recognition of our products really underscores Chrysler Group's engineering capability and safety leadership. This is already an exciting year for us with som many new and updated cars and trucks."
IIHS recognizes vehicles with outstanding crashworthiness in front, side, rollover and rear crashes.
The following Chrysler Group vehicles were recognized by IIHS as Top Safety Picks for 2011: Dodge Avenger, Charger and Journey; Chrysler 200 and 300 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Patriot, when equipped with side airbags.
"Automakers deserve credit for quickly rising to meet more challenging criteria for Top Safety Pick," says Adrian Lund, the Institute's President. "That gives consumers shopping for a safer new car or SUV--from economy to luxury--plenty of choices to consider when they visit a dealer showroom."
