Chrysler Debuts the First Ever Hybrid Minivan, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

A lot like parents themselves, minivans are the multi-taskers of the automotive world; there are some solid contenders out there, but mostly they're relegated to the "mom-mobile" category and with many drivers avoiding the segment altogether. Minivans have come a long way over the years; you can now find the same high-end features, creature comforts, and innovative technology that you'd find on a luxury sedan. But there was still a space in the market for a hybrid minivan, and no automaker has been able to fill it…until now. Chrysler is proud to offer drivers the very first hybrid minivan ever , the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. Wired magazine reviewed the newly-available Pacifica Hybrid, and they found a lot to love about this modern, versatile family vehicle. Wired was pleased that the designers at Chrysler managed to create a minivan that is both sleek and stylish as well as functional, with many exterior features contributing to the minivan's efficiency on the road. The Pacifica is a plug-in hybrid, meaning you can charge it overnight and spend the next day driving up to 30 miles worth of errands and carpools on that single charge. When you're ready for the road trip, Wired points out that your traditional gasoline motor will kick in almost imperceptibly when you run out of electric charge so you can still take that road trip to the beach. They remind us that another great advantage is that the government offers a $7,500 federal tax credit for the energy efficient purchase, making the new Pacifica even more affordable. There's so much more to love about this minivan, and we couldn't possibly list all of our favorite features here!
